In all honesty, I am not as obedient as Abraham who was willing to offer his son, Isaac as an oblation to the Lord. I am also not as strong and determined as Saint Augustine who by the grace of God and the fervent prayers of his mother, Saint Monica led a chaste and holy life.
However, this is enough inspiration to me to strive to be a Saint. I once heard in a sermon by a holy priest that in order to be virtuous, one must strive with all his might to follow and so simple acts of virtue until they become a habit and thus move on to more virtuous acts. As one continues to pray and lead a holy life, time will come when that person would have done heroic acts of virtue just like the Saints of Holy Mother Church has done. Here is my greatest and final goal in life: To be a Saint.
