Capitalism

I still remember a time when parents reminded their children to choose a career based on God's Will, the gifts Divine Providence has bestowed and how much it would contribute for the greater good. Now, it is more about which career would give you a fat paycheck. Sadly, success is increasingly being defined in these terms. I am not saying we should not look for good paying jobs. I say we look for jobs that define who we are as a person - a child of God. Aren't we taught to put the needs of others first before our own? I think this should be considered carefully when choosing a course to study in college and inevitably when choosing a career.
